Young and Catholic (YC) was founded 2021 by a group of young adults from the Springfield, MA area interested in bringing people together and creating a place for young adults to meet each other and Christ and His Church. Since 2021, YC has served the young adults of Western Massachusetts by offering diverse opportunities for evangelization, formation, and community. 

YC is committed to building a community of young adult Catholics and so the majority of events offer opportunities for fellowship in many varieties including but certainly not limited to BBQs, hikes, picnics, candlepin bowling, cigar nights, wine nights, Theology on Tap, weekly trivia, ice fishing, tubing, swimming, cycling, dances, service opportunities, and the like. "If you can think of an activity, then we've probably done it! And if not, let us know!" - Joe Austin.

YC does not have one core event but rather frequent events offered with varying frequency from Bible Studies to Men's and Women's groups, book clubs, weekly Adoration hours, and the like. YC also offers various "YC Activity Groups" for those interested in specific areas of activities. 

YC is a regionally based Young Adult Ministry movement with regional hubs run by boards. Boards run events for their region and sometimes collaborate with other regions to put on events. Periodically, the "YC Large Events Subcommittee" runs larger events for all of YC including the Advent and Lenten Retreats.

Because YC is built for everyone, there are many ways to get involved. Here are a few ideas:
